My Fall Loves

There’s nothing better than Fall. In all honesty, it’s my favourite time of the year, the crisp leaves, the smell of rain on the air, the subtle waft of spices on the wind and best of all sitting down at night, blanket wrapped around yourself watching Halloween/Spooky films with a hot chocolate in hand. So it’s probably no surprise to anyone that some of my favourite things in life are associated with the season.

Albert Park in Fall*

My first favourite thing about the season is walking through the park near my home. The leaves have turned golden and dropped to the ground crunching under feat, squirrels are in abundance collecting nuts for the winter or just scurrying about playing in the leaves. There’s something homely or comforting about walking through and taking it all in even if the wind is nipping at my cheeks or the rain is pouring down heavily. I’m quite lucky that to get to university I get to walk through this every day.

There’s something about carving a pumpkin that brings about a childhood whimsy, a sort of nostalgia of simpler times. That’s why every year I try to carve at least one, I love sitting down, tools in hand, some cheesy Halloween movie like Halloweentown or Twitches in the background and carving away. Either something classic like a spooky face or something unique and complex like a film reference or interesting design.

Knee High Socks, Teapigs Chai tea, and Lipsticks in Scorned and Aubergine Kiss

My last three favourite items I consider my comfort items for the Fall season. I adore feeling snuggly and warm which is why my go-to items either for daytime or nighttime, walking about my town or walking about my house are a good pair of fluffy socks. At home I wear slippers or slipper socks and out and about I wear knee high woolen socks (depending on how the weather is). I usually pair this with a dress or a jumper, and a dark vampy lip my two favourite colours in Fall being Collections Gothic Glam in Scorned and Collections Lasting Colour in Aubergine Kiss. I tend not to wear matte lip colours in the Fall because I like to be kinder to my lips so these two colours, in particular, are really moisturizing and the colours are still bold enough that I don’t feel naked.

And lastly what’s better on a crisp Fall day than a steaming mug of something hot, in my case it’s usually a Chai Tea Latte from my local Starbucks or something similarily at warm and comforting made at home from my Teapigs set of teas. Seriously the amount of tea, coffee, and hot chocolate I go through on a regular basis pales in comparison to my consumption during the Fall season, it just makes sense to me.

To me there’s nothing better than being all bundled up, with my knee high socks, vampy lip, surrounded by leaves, pumpkins, squirrels, the sweet scents of spices and enjoying a large mug of tea or coffee.

I love fall too, it’s my favourite time of the year! It just so happens my anniversary is in this month too so it all kind of fits really well 😉 I love the beautiful fall leaves and the darkening nights and some hot tea when snuggled up with my favourite blanket.

Autumn is my favourite season, it means my birthday, Halloween & Bonfire night. I love how the leaves all go a pretty colour & the weather turning cooler. I’ve not tried any Teapigs yet, I’ve seen them in the supermarket but just haven’t got round to trying them .

Walks in the park with Annie in the Autumn are my favourite part of this season. I also really like carving pumpkins 🎃 and moving on to berry colours in nails and lips. Lovely post as always! Enjoy the season!

This is such a great post🙂 I simply loved the way you described your feelings for Fall; it sounds especially beautiful & makes me fall in love with the season all over again. My favorite thing about Fall is being able to dress up– layers, over-the-knee boots, over-sized chunky sweaters, and statement jewelry…I love it all!

I love fall for the fashion! Knee high socks and a cup of hot chocolate= yes! I think my favorite thing about fall is all the cute fall date ideas and ice skating and excuse to drink warm drinks because it’s no longer 100 degrees out!

For sure wearing darker lipstick and walking in the forest with my two dogs while the leaves are falling. I love autumn and the cosy times at home too.

Unfortunately I don’t get the occasion to experience fall season very often. But the rare times I did definitely showed me that it’s my favorite season as well. Not only because my birthday is in november but the vibes of this season, the tones of the colors, the vampi lipstick make everything so special. Couldn’t agree more with you

Oh they don’t have fall where you live? That must be a good reason to travel. Sweden is very recommendable since we have so many trees and forrests here. The nature shows its true colors at the moment. Xx

First of all, you have a way with words. Lovely, well – written piece. It was as though I was experiencing fall!
Sadly I haven’t. I live on the other part of the world and we donot have seasons. I love seeing all the fall photos. They look so beautiful!

I must admit, I wasn’t a fan of Fall, I think I even hated it. But, now, I try to be positive all the time, and when the Fall came, I just fell in love with it. I mean, just like you said, crispy leaves, those Fall colors and outfits, coats and cute umbrella’s, hot cocoa! Is there anything better?!

I really love fall season and I am a bit sad that it starts to feel more like winter already! I absolutely love walking in a forest in the fall and knee socks are also very awesome! My favorite thing to do in the fall and winter is to cozy up on the couch with a good book, a cup of tea and a blanket!

Although my heart goes to the Summertime, I love Fall as well! 🙂 Something about the coziness that is absolutely wonderful! I think I’d like it more if it was a “REAL” season but I live in San Diego, so we don’t get lucky enough with the leaves and what not oh well! 🙂
