So I just had my first baby and at 15 weeks he’s already such a character, so I thought I’d do this fun little tag =^.^=
-
How old were you when you had your first child?
Found out I was pregnant at 24, gave birth at 25.
-
What was the hardest thing about being pregnant for 9 months?
How difficult simple tasks like walking to the shops became because of my SPD.
-
Can you think of any good things you enjoyed during those 9 months?
Feeling little one grow, kick and get stronger and the bond we shared.
-
In your opinion, were all the things you heard about childbirth accurate or way off.
Way, way WAY off. For one everything they say rarely happens, pretty much happened to me.
-
Would you have handled childbirth differently if you could re-do it?
Probably wouldn’t have been so stubborn about no drugs, gas, and air wouldn’t hurt next time.
-
What would be your advice for someone who is about to have a baby?
Don’t stress it’s not good for you both, and make sure you have a support system in place.
-
What has been the hardest thing about being a mom?
Putting someone else’s needs above my own even when really sick.
-
What has been the most rewarding thing about being a mom?
Watching him grow, learn and seeing his personality bloom.
-
What was the most surprising thing you discovered about being a mom?
I don’t need as much sleep as I thought lol
-
What is the best memory you have involving your child?
The first time he latched, in the hospital after coming out of surgery, he took to it like a champ.
-
What was the most exciting milestone?
All of them are amazing but recently he started rolling and trying to crawl.
-
What is the worst thing your child has ever done?
Projectile pooped and vomited on me >_<
-
What habit did you wish your child didn’t have?
He hasn’t got any bad habits yet.
-
What habit of theirs makes you most proud?
He tries to stand whenever you sit him on your knee.
-
Do you share any similarities with your child (both Physical and Personality)?
We looked identical as babies, we sleep in the same position and we have the same comforts.
-
Where would you like your child to be in 10 years?
School lol
-
What is something that having a child has taught you?
I’m stronger than I thought and can do anything I put my mind to.
-
Did you imagine that you’d be a mom at the age that you became a mom?
Actually yeah, just not the way it happened.
-
Describe your child in a single sentence?
Absolutely amazing and such a character.
-
How have you changed as a person since becoming a mom?
I’m more stressy lol but it makes me more organized I guess.

Ah I loved reading this! I hope everything is fine with you and your precious little baby 🙂
I think being a mum has made me the pro at time-management, it’s insane how fast one can clean up & do dishes and things like that when the baby is napping haha!

Nap times are the best moments to get things done, especially when they start moving around 😀 washing floors with someone who wants to chase the mop is surprisingly hard! 😀

So insightful! I’m 33 and not a mother yet. I tend to thing I have far too many years of building up ideals in my mind about the process. Maybe the longer I wait, the more predictable the process is when I’m finally there? Lol. And your discovery about sleep made me laugh.

Congrats of the baby, Kitty! This was a very interesting read, thanks for sharing. 🙂 I think I would not survive without sleeping. I was more tired than ever when we had our puppy and he woke us up like 1-2 times every night for couple of months. And I guess babies can be a lot more work than the pupper has been lol.
